The Costa Brava starts at the border with France and stretches down to Blanes, 60km north of Barcelona.

Although some parts of the Costa Brava are purely for the package tourist, many towns maintain their charm throughout the year. The rugged coastline is renowned for small creeks and spectacular scenery and it is a popular destination throughout the year for walking and other leisure activities.
