Situation
Monument situated on mountain pass with the name wrongly "Coll de la Manrella" (700 metres high) within the municipality of Agullana.

History
You find yourself in front of the monument erected in 1979 by the group Comissio d'actes (Lluis Companys) in remembrance to the memory of the president of the President of the Generalitat (l934/36-l939). Lluis Companys who accompanied by the Basque President J:M. Aguirre went into exile by the mountain pass (Coll de Lli) (La Vajol) on 5th February, 1939 hours after the President of the Republic M. Azana left the country. From 1981, the nearest Sunday to l5th October a commemoration of the anniversary of the execution of the President is marked by a friendly meeting between both sides of Catalunya , the Frenchn and the Spanish is organised, not only in remembrance of Lluis Companys and the 500,000 Spanish, especially Catalan, who in this area tried to escape in l939 to exile, but also all those who were victims of the dictatorship.

Situation
Talc Mine. Situated in the Municipality of La Vajol. Situated in the area called el serrtdeles mines. Also popularly called Gurugu.

History
This is the last talc mine of Catalunya which first appears in history when Juan Negrin, President of the Central Government, l937-l939, at the outbreak of the Civil War sent a consignment of pictures from the Prado museum and Gold from the Bank of Spain, valued by historians at $500,000 and which later on towards Mexico on board the Vita. In this context the building on one of the pitheads was built, which nowadays belongs to M. Giralt.

It remained under the direct responsibility of the Minister of Economy and Finance, E. Ramos, who was declared watchman of the treasure by J. Negrin. 30 people worked in the mine during the l960s.

Working conditions in the cold and humid galleries were hard and the risk of roof collapses was high, those sectors were underpinned by cross pieces and beams of chestnut and acacia as a precaution.

The extracted mineral talcum was used for manufacturing ceramic, animal food, painting, paper and cosmetics and pharmaceutical products.
