Hotel Restaurant Ingles

The bar of the Hotel Restaurant Ingles is like many bars in Barcelona or, indeed, the whole of Spain. It is long and narrow with a bar running down one side with stools, and a single row of tables along the other side. If you progress through to the back of the bar is the restaurant, but in this case I halted where I was.

The bocadillo de jamón was filled with so much moist ham that I had to take my hand off the book I was reading in order to deal with it properly and although the day was overcast and cold the half litre of Estrella was refreshingly chilled.
