Flights from Glasgow to Barcelona
If you're planning on flying from Glasgow then you've got two options for direct flights. The first is with Globespan, who also fly from Edinburgh, the other is with Air Scotland.
Globespan leaves Glasgow midmorning in the summer and 9:00 in winter and offers a daily service year-round. Flights depart barcelona mid-afternoon in summer and early afternoon in winter.
Air Scotland on the other hand fly to what they cynically refer to as "Girona (Barcelona)", about 70 miles north of Barcelona - the name of the airport is, in fact, Girona-Costa Brava, to which Ryanair also flies from Prestwick.
However, you can take the bus to Barcelona, so its not a problem getting there, or alternatively take a bus or taxi to Girona train station and take the train.
