Cheap flights to Barcelona from Ryanair
If you're looking for cheap flights to Barcelona from Ryanair, remember that actually they don't.
However, they do fly to airports within 90 minutes of Barcelona and they do run a cheap (€7-ish) bus service into the centre of Barcelona, so if you do fly Ryanair you can get to where you want - they do fly to Girona and Reus airports.
Where easyJet claims to have taken the American model of low-cost airlines and stripped it back, Ryanair seems to have gone one step further. This is a really minimal service airline, with minimal baggage allowance and even talk of no free allowance at all for the hold.
Whether they do this or not remains to be seen, but it does fit in with their philosophy - dirt cheap flights, nothing for free, and pay through the nose if you want it - so always check the smallprint, ands make sure that any additional costs don't outweigh a direct flight to Barcelona with another airline.
That said, Ryanair really does have cheap, or even free flights, although you always have to add tax and landing charges to their quoted prices - standard in the no-frills airline industry.
Just remember that although they are cheap (and even though their seats don't recline!), Ryanair's aircraft are modern and comfortable and for a 2 or 2 1/2 hour flight there is little to distinguish them from a traditional airline except the lack of free food and drink.
From the UK Ryanair fly to Girona and/or Reus from Blackpool, Bournemouth, Glasgow, East Midlands, Glasgow, Liverpool, Luton and Stansted, while from Ireland they offer cheap flights from Dublin and Shannon.
