Barcelona travel - getting there
Although the majority of visitors to Barcelona travel there by plane, a large percentage of people also get there by other means. The main alternative to flying, of course, is by road, which is the most common mode of transport from France, but you can also get ther by bus, ferry and crusise liner, depending on where you're arriving from.
If you're travelling from the UK then driving is only really an option if you're spending more than a weekend break in Barcelona - perhaps a week on the coast as well, but think how much wine you'll be able to take back!
There are two main options for driving - the ferry or Channel tunnel to France followed by a couple of days down, or a ferry across to Santander and a drive through the Basque country and northern Spain to Catalunya.
