Bus from Barcelona to Girona airport
Since Ryanair's arrival in Girona and the decision to create one of its major European hubs there the airport has grown from strength to strenth. Just a few years ago there were vertually no flights in the winter, with the summer arrivals being dominated by charter airlines.
However, these days the airport is busy all year round and has become an importance source of emplyment, with all the economic benefits that brings to an area.
Although the airport is 70 miles from Barcelona, there is at least provide a bus service to Barcelona. The service runs from Barcelona's Eastació del Nord train station to Girona airport. The bus runs approximately every 45 minutes from 03:00 until 19:30 to the airport and from 08:30 until 00:10 from Girona airport to Barcelona, with tickets costing €12.
