FC Barcelona home shirt While the 2005-2006 season saw a break in tradition for the kit of FC Barcelona, with red shorts for the first time ever, this season sees a return to the usual blue.

And the away colours are distinctly better than last year's fluorescent yellow kit.

More importantly perhaps is the inclusion of sponsorship on the blaugrana kit for the first time.

The board of the club seemed determined to close a sponsorship deal that would have been worth millions, but after various sponsors were discussed in the press the club has decided to be different - FC Barcelona will pay Unicef for the honour of appearing on their shirt, a kind of reverse sponsorship deal.
